We are now seeking a Technical Program Manager to join our Houston office. This position is Manager level and suitable for someone with at least five years of relevant technical program management experience. We are specifically calling for applicants based in Houston or within a 50-mile commute of Houston. The position is hybrid; most of your work week will be based from home but you will be required on the client site from time to time. You must have valid US work authorization and not require future visa sponsorship. Who you are: You are an expert in the integrated delivery of products and initiatives with high levels of complexity. You blend traditional project management with new methods, like scaled Agile, to support effective product development units and coordinate between multiple teams. You are highly technologically literate and are able to create a structured environment in which to coordinate scaled delivery. In addition to core planning and delivery skills, your deep expertise in technology delivery will enable you to speak with software and enterprise technology engineers in their own language. What you will be doing: Working with one of our largest clients in the energy sector you will: * Develop and manage the project, communication, resource plans and processes * Analyse all management and technical processes to ensure they're delivered as expected * Meet regularly with project stakeholders and define project, scope, goals and objectives * Lead budget and resource allocation through all project phases * Schedule project timelines * Make estimates for the budget and schedule * Generate regular reports to update stakeholders and manage projects * Establish and train teams on processes and strategies * Oversee day-to-day technical operations, including assignments and personnel review * Define roles and responsibilities of the team and determine clear deliverables * Research and evaluate new hardware and software technology and help make decisions on the cost-benefit analysis of new purchases * Update and maintain hardware and software systems as needed * Ensure the ongoing support for the delivered outputs has been planned and agreed with the relevant stakeholders.
