We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. About the role
As a Program Manager on our Air Combat Autonomy team, you will lead the execution of cutting-edge programs that develop next-generation autonomous systems, similar to DARPA ACE and AIR. You'll manage government contracts, including Other Transactions (OT) and Cost Reimbursable (CR) agreements, ensuring compliance while driving rapid and reliable delivery of autonomy solutions. Working with a team that moves fast and safely, you'll leverage purpose-built financial tracking tools, adaptable workflows, and a highly collaborative culture to support the development of autonomy software tooling and advanced autonomous behaviors. In this role, you will ensure program success by aligning technical teams, optimizing resources, and fostering innovation in a dynamic startup environment.
At EpiSci, you will:
* Manage Programs Program (Cost, Schedule, Technical performance) for Air Combat Autonomy programs
* Drive collaboration across internal and external teams
* Be focal point for communication with customers
* Collaborate with domain experts and prior DoD warfighters (ex. DoD fighter pilots) to build software autonomy solutions for military missions
We're looking for someone who has:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science/related engineering field
* 7+ years of program management experience managing cost, schedule, performance of defense contracts, or a mix of education and exceptional experience
* Strong experience program managing defense Other Transactions and Cost reimbursable contracts such as firm, fixed, price (FFP), cost plus fixed fee (CPFF), etc.
* Working knowledge of the Earned Value Management System
* Strong experience interacting with government and prime contract customers
* Exceptional customer customer interface experience and ability to network
* Strong experience managing cost, schedule, performance
* Strong experience managing software teams using agile processes (spiral, scrum, kanban)
* Experience curating and managing software backlogs in Gitlab
* Basic conceptual understanding of software development (programming, containerization, configuration management, DevOps) and autonomy software products
* Experience leading programs that develop software for autonomous robotic systems in C++, JIRA, and Python.
* Experience managing programs that design, implement, leverage, and improve state-of-the-art wireless communication protocols
* Experience managing programs from concept ideation through prototyping, M&S, flight testing, and fielding on front-line aircraft and robotic systems
* Passion for solving complex problems with little supervision in a fast-moving team
* Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, frequently changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment
* Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple teams
Travel Requirements:
* Must be willing to travel as projects require. Estimated average travel is once every month for between 2 days up to 1 week. (25%)
* This role is based in Ft. Walton Beach, FL (near Eglin AFB)
Security Requirements:
* Must be a U.S. Citizen
* Must have an active U.S. SECRET security clearance with Special Access Program (SAP) Eligibility

Nice to have:
* Master's degree in computer science/related engineering field
* 10+ years of program management experience managing cost, schedule, performance of defense contracts
* Experience with Earned Value Management System
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence), Google suite
* Experience working projects related to national security for one or more government agencies
* Interdisciplinary background, with evidence of continual learning
* Experience writing scripts and building tools to aid in automation of financial tracking/program management tasks
* Current U.S. TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI & Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility
Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.
Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
Please reference the job posting's subtitle for where this position will be located. For pay transparency purposes, the base salary range for this full-time position in the location listed is: $150,000 to $200,000 USD annually.
