Meta is seeking a Technical Program Manager to support the Artificial Intelligence Research mission to advance the state-of-the-art of AI. As a Technical Program Manager, your job will be to drive research breakthroughs and/or accelerate research into production. In this role, the TPM actively engages with talented research scientists and engineers across the spectrum of research types - exploratory, focused, and applied research. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in relevant domains of AI, large GPU clusters and research. You will engage with this community through publications, open source software, participation in technical conferences and workshops, solving product problems through AI, and creating and managing various internal and external collaborations. In close partnership with research, engineering, product and other cross-functional teams, this person will identify problem statements, create technical roadmaps, scope programs aligning them with research outcomes and business priorities, define milestones and success metrics, and drive them to completion by aligning and leading large cross-functional teams.B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience. 10+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management experience. Experience delivering technical programs or products from inception to delivery. Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope. Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership. Communication experience and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products. Experience in organization, coordination, and multi-tasking. Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems. Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones. Demonstrated experience in building aligned program teams to efficiently deliver on shared goal Experience with large GPU clusters. Experience with scalable storage solutions.
