In this role, you'll drive the roadmap for data engineering capabilities, ensure products meet internal user needs, and act as the critical link between business objectives and technical execution. You'll be embedded in the data engineering team and work closely with engineers, analysts, governance stakeholders, and business leaders to guide the design, delivery, and adoption of high-impact data solutions built on Azure. Own the Development Lifecycle * Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data products from requirements and design through implementation, testing, rollout, and iteration. * Coordinate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives to drive delivery efficiency and transparency. Drive Adoption & Usability * Ensure data products are well-documented, discoverable, and easy to adopt by internal users. * Lead enablement efforts such as onboarding guides, training sessions, and support documentation. Measure & Improve * Define product success metrics (e.g., query latency, data freshness, onboarding time, adoption rate) and use them to guide decisions and improvements. * Maintain a strong feedback loop with users and stakeholders to prioritize fixes and enhancements. What You Bring * 3-5 years of experience in product management, technical program management, or data-focused delivery roles, ideally within a data engineering or analytics environment. * Experience working closely with data engineers, ideally in an Azure cloud context. * Strong familiarity with modern data tooling and workflows especially with Azure data stack including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks and Synapse. * Solid understanding of how data pipelines, transformations, and access layers support analytical and operational use cases. * Experience writing user stories and requirements for technical teams and managing delivery through Jira, Confluence or similar tools. * Proficiency in SQL and comfort discussing data architectures, schema design, and performance trade-offs. * Excellent communication and facilitation skills. Must be able to bridge technical and non-technical audiences, and keep stakeholders aligned. * Bonus: experience working with dbt, Python, or tools like Azure DevOps, Gitlab, Power BI, or Purview. Why Join Us At APCO Holdings, our data engineering team plays a central role in how the company measures performance, identifies growth, and delivers customer value. We're modernizing our stack, enforcing best practices, and building the next generation of enterprise data services. As our Technical Product Manager, you'll shape how these tools are built, delivered, and used, thereby making a direct impact on the company's data maturity.
