Purpose of the Role
The Manager/Lead Pre-Sales Consultant acts as a strategic bridge between sales, delivery, and solution teams, translating customer business needs into tailored solutions and driving technology evaluations. This role plays a pivotal leadership position within the sales team, mentoring junior pre-sales consultants while serving as the key technical advisor and advocate for Impiger’s services and solutions.
As the technical face of the sales team, the Lead Pre-Sales Consultant should be articulate, quickthinking, and adept at engaging with C-level executives and decision-makers. They must possess a deep understanding of technology landscapes, competitive differentiators, and enterprise solutioning while effectively leading a pre-sales team to ensure successful business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Solutioning & Customer Engagement
• Lead and drive solution discovery, scoping, and proposal creation for large-scale enterprise opportunities.
• Understand customer business requirements, identify pain points, and propose tailored solutions that align with their strategic vision.
• Provide technical leadership in the pre-sales process, ensuring the best-fit solution architecture is proposed.
• Develop and present compelling solution demonstrations, Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs), and business cases that showcase Impiger’s competitive edge.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers, guiding them through the technical decision-making process. Team Leadership & Coaching
• Manage, mentor, and coach a team of pre-sales consultants, fostering professional development and technical expertise.
• Define pre-sales best practices, ensuring consistency in solution presentations and technical assessments.
• Drive knowledge-sharing sessions, including market trends, competitor analysis, and evolving technology stacks. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Engagement
• Work closely with the sales team, delivery teams, and product management to design and refine solutions based on evolving customer needs.
• Engage with partners, system integrators, and third-party vendors to enhance Impiger’s solution offerings.
• Contribute to strategic RFP and tender responses, ensuring winning proposals through clear value articulation.
Market Intelligence & Industry Trends
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitor movements to position Impiger’s offerings effectively.
• Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and customer forums to strengthen Impiger’s market presence. Operational Excellence & Reporting
• Ensure pre-sales KPIs are met, including deal win rates, proposal quality, and response time.
• Maintain detailed documentation on client interactions, solution architectures, and lessons learned.
• Standardize pre-sales processes to optimize efficiency and alignment with sales and delivery teams.
Skills & Requirements
• 7 to 10 years of experience in pre-sales, solution architecture, or technical consulting in the IT industry.
• Proven experience leading and managing a pre-sales team, including coaching and performance management.
• Strong expertise in Web, Mobile, and Cloud solutions, with experience in large enterprise solutioning.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in handling large-scale RFPs, tender processes, and high-value sales cycles.
• Deep understanding of B2B and enterprise sales methodologies, particularly in BFSI, Manufacturing, or Education sectors.
• Self-motivated leader with a strategic mindset and a passion for technology-driven solutions. Preferred (Not Essential)
• Prior experience working in large enterprises or consulting organizations.
• Familiarity with AI/ML, IoT, or emerging technologies in enterprise solutions.
• Experience with government or public sector projects
