Technical Operations Manager

Catalent Pharma Solutions is hiring a Technical Operations Manager. The Technical Operations Manager acts as a liaison between the Business Development Group, Commercial Operations, clients and CMTI by providing consultative support at project initiation and initiate/monitor project execution through completion. Moreover, this role ensures timely communication and proper execution/management of work slated for the site. This role will support Business Development (BD) and external clients by providing technical leadership and expertise, demonstrating an understanding of customer needs and how CMTI can best serve those needs. As the CMTI technical services lead, this role serves as the CMTI lead client development projects, collaborates to prioritize work, communicates project status and effectively provides technical explanation/rationalization to both internal and external customers. This role also serves as a contributing member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT) representing Program Management.
This is a full-time role position: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Onsite

The Role
* Provide technical leadership and expertise to support Business Development and external clients, understanding their needs and aligning them with CMTI capabilities. Serve a focal point for client development projects, prioritizing work, communicating project status, and overseeing the provision of technical support to both internal and external stakeholders.
* Lead the Planning and Customer Service and Production to achieve the required delivery of technical and commercial services to existing and new clients. Work closely with Operations to monitor production capacity plans and develop strategies for the medium and long term
* Interact with departments such as Laboratory, Quality, Operations, and Warehouse to remove roadblocks and ensure end-to-end process efficiency. Adhere to CMTI and industry safety standards, serving as a safety role model and ensuring client requirements are in alignment with CMTI safety standards.
* Accomplish site goals through effective team management and development. Manage and motivate the Technical & Customer Services & Planning teams to deliver their Goals and Objectives. Providing regular feedback on progress against their Goals and Objectives, setting short term actions to facilitate exceeding of G&O's or close gaps in both performance and behavior. Handle performance and employee relations issues consistently and fairly and in line with Company policies.
* Ensure adherence to CMTI Quality systems and cGMP standards. Manage project and client expectations to ensure timely and successful completion. Monitor and manage project timelines throughout all development phases and across all site functions, ensuring alignment with client orders. Optimize base cost, inventory management, process efficiency, and resource utilization. Champion and drive change. Search for opportunities to continuously improve processes and site performance. Network to look for opportunities to implement best practices.

* Provide consolidated view of site projects (in progress, in queue) to SLT and site. Develop and monitor project metrics, analyze trends, and provide insights for issue resolution.
* Work closely with Operations and other organizational SMEs to leverage their expertise while developing technical micronization and lab competency. Contribute a strong understanding of manufacturing site operations, and technical requirements of the
* micronization processes. Utilize scientific expertise to identify opportunities, work with Business Development to drive revenue growth, and serve as the technical liaison for timely client communication. Work with Operations to ensure technical documents/Process Development Reports (DOE)/Process
* Validation Reports (PVP)/Process Instruction Documents (PID) are realistic while accurately reflecting client specifications
* All other duties as assigned;
The Candidate
* Required a Bachelor of Science degree. BS in applied science preferred,.
* Four+ years of experience managing projects from initiation to completion or related experience highly preferred.
* Three+ years working in a GMP environment managing full project life cycle highly preferred.
* PMP or equivalent certifications and project management software a plus.
* Specialized depth of scientific knowledge in Micronization preferred or the ability to leverage organizational resources/SMEs to make sound technical decisions.
* Intermediate to Advanced MS Office skills in MS Word, PowerPoint and excel
* Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead others while working alongside them to complete tasks to reach organizational goals highly desired
* Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent-sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience.
* Required Leadership skills include excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of stakeholders, the strong ability to lead, mentor, train, motivate, direct and empower a team, influence and lead change, contribute strategic, analytical insight for problem solving and partner with cross functional teams to identify gaps, develop and implementation of continuous improvement ideas
* Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
