About the Company:

Proclinical are proud to be partnered with our client, a global leader in the facilities management industry and commercial real estate services to recruit a Technical Manager. The position is based at their Pharmaceutical clients newly established and state-of-the-art vaccine and antivenoms manufacturing site spanning over an extensive 28,400 square meters in Tullamarine, supporting the delivery of medicines to individuals across the globe.

About the Role:

The Technical Manager will be based on-site and work closely with client stakeholders to identify and implement compliance processes, provide solutions, and apply best practices for the management of site facility and environmental systems (such as, but not limited to all hard services, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and cooling) to enable manufacturing and site operations. In addition, the Technical Manager will exercise leadership and mentorship skills to foster the development of technical teams and direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, manage, and apply essential service building measures.
  • Manage in-house Technicians and subcontractors in essential testing, maintenance, and certification.
  • Support account managers, business development, and delivery teams.
  • Prepare and present assessment results to leadership team and clients.
  • Provide pricing, programs, and methodologies for compliance management.
  • Educate technicians and internal team members on standards and requirements.
  • Lead compliance obligations for essential building services, from assessments to client-based upgrade programs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of technical procedures, protocols, and reports.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Facilities Management.
  • 5+ years' GMP experience in pharmaceutical/biotech or other regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) principles.
  • Excellent communication and strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
