KBR is seeking a Technical Leader in Software Engineering to support KBR's Science and Space Division. In this role, you will provide software and instrument development and configuration management leadership in support of the NOAA/NASA GeoXO Program. You will provide technical expertise on the algorithms and software that process and convert geostationary satellite instrument data while supporting instrument scientists in the investigation of anomalies and in the development of new imager capabilities. You will provide software leadership in the GOES-R ABI Trending and Data Analysis Toolkit (GRATDAT). REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: * Education: Must have a Masters's degree in the field of Imaging Science, or a related field with over 18 years of relevant experience * Experience managing the requirements definition, development and implementation of tools to support geostationary satellite operations and calibration scientists * Fluent in running and providing development on the GOES-R ABI Trending and Data Analysis Toolkit (GRATDAT) * Specific experience with development, testing and integration of science analysis tools applied to observations from the GOES-R series of geostationary satellites Basic Compensation: $148,700 - $223,000 This range is for the Maryland area only The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
