Summary

Job Description Seeking a junior level candidate to assist in the control and management of technical documents - engineering drawings, cable runs sheets, change orders, specifications, test plans and procedures, and other supporting documents. Will oversee the management, distribution, and control of these engineering documents in a dynamic, multi-contract DoD C5ISR production and integration environment. The Tech Documentation Specialist will be the local system administrator of our Enovia Product Lifecycle (PLM) system and will be responsible to ensure organizational conformance to required technical document control and configuration management procedures. Responsibilities include: * Oversee the processing of technical documents within the engineering department to ensure proper review, control, and distribution to appropriate departments * Manage movement of technical documents through the process to ensure timely completion and availability to support engineering, procurement and production activities * Set up projects and objects within the PLM system to support new documentation * Manage local PLM database and coordinate with company administrators of the system to resolve issues and ensure local operation * Review documents and associated technical data moving through the system to verify process compliance and completeness, and resolve discrepancies with document originator * Maintain electronic document control records and configuration management of technical documents to ensure compliance with all applicable and required standards including quality system requirements * Conduct or coordinate the importing of data from other databases such as Cable Run Sheets databases into the system, and the exporting of data to other tools such as customer procurement databases or spreadsheets * Assist with and oversee data entry activities for engineering parts and Bill of Materials (BOMs) associated with engineering drawings * Provide training to technical staff in the use of PLM tools and processes * Oversee and manage the flow of documents in the PLM tool and ensure compliance with department processes This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station OR in Chesapeake, VA. There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Southern Maryland, Chesapeake, or surrounding areas. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Associate degree in relevant area of study with a minimum of 1 year of experience managing the control of technical documents Strong verbal and written communications skills Excellent people and interpersonal skillsPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's degree in relevant area of study Experience with Enovia or other PLM tools Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $50268 - $85455 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
