From Taylor Hopkinson we are searching for a Technical Director to join a leading renewable energy company focused on development, construction and operation of onshore projects in Europe.

This person will be based in Madrid with punctual travels to the headquarters and projects.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the team dedicated to the engineering the company has at global level, ensuring quality and deadlines
• Review and coordinate engineering designs as well as coordinate external companies.
• Support the corporate strategy in terms of engineering and construction the company has at global level.
• Provide technical data and specifications for RFPs and supplier technical validation
• Elaborate monthly reports of performance indicators.
• Interact with local authorities, suppliers and stakeholders when required to ensure a smooth process of implementation of projects.
• Support the development and M&A team during the acquisition or sale of potential projects.
• Collaborate with the local development team support during the permitting process preparing and supervising the technical documentation especially during the grid connection stage and in general proposing project improvements
• Additionally, assess potential projects for their acquisition or sale and support during the different stages of development.

Requirements:

• Engineering degree; an MBA is desirable.
• Extensive experience in renewable energy sector, especially in the engineering area managing high level performance teams
• Deep knowledge of solar PV and BESS technologies. Knowledge in Wind and hybridization are desirables.
• Fluent in English (mandatory); Spanish is ideal.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• International experience managing technical operations across multiple countries.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
• The ideal candidate should be autonomous, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
