As part of our ongoing expansion in the Middle East, we are seeking a highly experienced Project Technical Director – Airport Infrastructure for a landmark airport development project in Riyadh.

The Role

As we expand our capabilities in the region, we are seeking a technically strong and visionary Project Technical Director to lead the design and technical delivery of complex airport infrastructure works. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in both airfield and landside infrastructure design and play a pivotal role in delivering world-class aviation solutions aligned with international and regional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all technical aspects of airport infrastructure design including airside and landside geometry, utilities, and obstacle limitation surfaces (OLS).
• Oversee the development of detailed design solutions ensuring compliance with ICAO, FAA, and local (GACAR) standards.
• Coordinate across multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and project partners to ensure high-quality, timely delivery.
• Drive the application of advanced digital tools including AviPLAN, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, FAARFIELD, and COMFAA.
• Champion innovation, quality assurance, and best practices in airport engineering.
• Utilize topographic data and digital terrain models (DTMs) for site assessments and infrastructure planning.
• Support information management within BIM and GIS platforms (ArcGIS, QGIS).

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical or Civil Engineering. A Master's degree in Airport Planning or Transportation Engineering is highly desirable.
• Experience: At least 18 years of experience in airport infrastructure design, with proven expertise in geometric design, utilities, and OLS analysis.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Strong command of international aerodrome design standards (ICAO, FAA).
• Experience with GACAR regulations (preferred).
• High-level skills in AviPLAN, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, FAARFIELD, and COMFAA.
• Familiarity with GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS) and BIM workflows.
