Summary

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and adaptable Copywriter to join our dynamic accounting alliance. This role encompasses a wide range of content creation for digital platforms, such as social media, our website, thought leadership articles, case studies, and press releases. The ideal candidate will collaborate with industry experts and our member firms to create engaging, informative, and high-quality content that elevates our brand and communication strategy. 

 

The Copywriter will also contribute to the development of our quarterly digital magazine, playing a pivotal role in both writing and researching content that resonates with our audience. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about combining content writing, marketing, and the accounting and financial services industry. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Develop a variety of written content for digital platforms, including website copy, blogs, and in-depth thought leadership articles. The content should reflect the company’s voice and provide valuable insights to our audience. 
  • Quarterly Digital Magazine: Take a lead role in researching and writing content for our quarterly digital magazine. This includes sourcing relevant industry news, interviewing thought leaders, and creating feature articles that will engage and inform our audience. 
  • Case Studies and Press Releases: Craft persuasive and well-researched case studies and press releases that accurately reflect the company’s strategy, successes, and thought leadership. Ensure each piece is compelling, clear, and tailored to its audience. 
  • Video Scripts: Write scripts for video content across various platforms, ensuring clarity, engagement, and alignment with the overall content strategy. These scripts should be suitable for a range of formats, from short-form social media videos to in-depth, educational video series. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a small, cross-functional team, including marketers, designers, and C-suite executives. Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills to ensure content is aligned with business objectives and brand guidelines. 
  • Idea Generation: Proactively generate original, credible content ideas for surveys, industry research, event materials, and events. Think creatively about how to make our content stand out and resonate with our target audience. 
  • Competitor Analysis: Conduct regular competitor analysis to assist with our content strategy and ensure that our content remains competitive, relevant, and engaging. This includes staying up to date with industry trends and content best practices. 
  • Industry Knowledge: Utilise your knowledge of the accounting, financial services, and business sectors to create insightful, relevant content that positions us as a thought leader. Your understanding of industry challenges, regulatory changes, and trends will be key to producing impactful content. 
  • Proofreading and Editing: Ensure that all written content is free from grammatical errors, typos, and inconsistencies. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help maintain our brand’s reputation for professional excellence. 
  • IT Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and other relevant software. Knowledge of social media platforms and tools is an asset. 
  • Travel: Be open to occasional travel to Praxity conferences.  
  • C-Suite Communication: Communicate effectively with senior executives and members of the C-suite. Understand their needs, business goals, and strategic vision, and translate these into high-quality, persuasive content that speaks to both our internal and external audience. 
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, with excellent proofreading and editing skills. A commitment to ensuring all content is accurate and free from errors. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A proven track record in content writing, preferably within the accounting or financial services sector, is essential. Experience writing for a variety of digital platforms is highly desirable. 
  • Education:  Educated to degree level or equivalent by experience.  
  • Skills: Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills. The ability to generate fresh, original content ideas and the capacity to work collaboratively within a team environment. 
  • Attitude: A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of creativity and accuracy under pressure. 
  • IT Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software. Familiarity with content management systems and digital publishing tools is beneficial. 
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel as required, with the ability to adapt to evolving priorities and business needs. 
  • Languages: Knowledge of additional languages would be an advantage, but is not a requirement.
