Role description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SAP Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain the database systems supporting our SAP environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP landscapes, database management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting within enterprise environments. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our SAP database infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:**-Database Administration: Manage and maintain SAP-supported databases HANA DB,MAX DB and live Cache database in production, development, and QA environments.-Performance Optimization:Monitor and optimize database performance, including tuning queries, indexes, and system parameters.-Backup and Recovery:Design, implement, and manage database backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.-Upgrades and Patch Management:Plan and execute database upgrades, patch installations, and migrations, ensuring minimal downtime.-Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor database health and resolve performance bottlenecks, availability issues, and other database-related problems.-SAP Integration:Collaborate with SAP Basis teams to ensure seamless integration between SAP applications and underlying databases.-Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.-Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.-Proficiency in backup and recovery strategies, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.-Familiarity with SAP Basis administration and integration.-Knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, Linux, or Unix.-Proficient in SAP HANA database administration, including HANA Studio, backups, HANA replication, and performance tuning.-Hands-on experience with MaxDB administration and troubleshooting.
