Overview

The Technical Business Analyst (TBA) will design and recommend best practices for technical projects, aligning business needs with system/technical solutions. This includes strategic mapping of business requirements, creating technical specifications, and collaborating with teams to deliver cloud-based solutions. The TBA may engage in pre-sales activities, contribute to best practice initiatives, and provide leadership in cloud solutions for industry objectives.

Location: Toronto, North York (5 days a week on-site)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams and clients.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and project success.
• Lead enterprise-level projects with minimal guidance.
• Facilitate meetings, drive consensus, and interact with executive sponsors.
• Support sales efforts by leveraging expertise.
• Perform fit/gap analyses and propose solutions to business challenges.
• Create and validate QA test plans, test cases, and detailed business requirements.
• Validate systems against business requirements and maintain documentation.
• Work closely with developers, QA testers, project managers, and stakeholders throughout development.
• Define business requirements, develop detailed functional designs, and create data models.
• Utilize experience with cloud solutions, relational databases (RDBS), and enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, ERP).
• Provide training and support for users adapting to new systems and processes.
• Travel to client sites or work with project teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4-8 years of experience in a similar technical BA type of role
• Strong SQL skills (Microsoft SQL, MySQL, Oracle)
• Basic competence in at least one programming language (e.g. JavaScript, C#, SQL)
• Superior organization and communication skills
• Strong skills in writing technical requirements
• Willingness to travel locally (up to 20% possible)
• Fintech industry experience is a bonus
