Our client is a private, entrepreneurial investment firm that partners with and supports insurance and financial services businesses across Australia and internationally. They invest in growth-oriented companies and help drive success by providing strategic and operational expertise across areas such as Finance, HR, IT, M&A, and Project Delivery.
They are currently looking for a TechnicalBusiness Analyst who will play a key role in bridging business needs and technology solutions. The successful candidate will work across multiple departments and supported entities to gather requirements, document business needs, support testing, and ensure the successful delivery of business-driven technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party vendors/implementation partners
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather and document business requirements and translate them into user stories
Document and maintain system specifications, solution designs, and other relevant technical documentation using tools such as JIRA and internal knowledge bases
Provide application support for internal and external users, including troubleshooting and estimating configuration efforts
Participate in testing activities by creating test cases and executing test plans
Apply standard methodologies, policies, and frameworks across all assigned tasks and projects
Support the implementation of configuration-driven applications with involvement in unit testing, issue resolution, and user support
Skills, Experience & Qualification
3–5 years of experience in a Business Analyst or business process improvement role
Currently pursuing or holds a diploma, certificate, or degree in a related discipline
Hands-on experience in requirements gathering, documentation, configuration, and testing
Exposure to project delivery in a modern IT environment, ideally with a mix of Waterfall and Agile methodologies
Ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects with varying scale and complexity
Familiarity with JIRA or similar project management/documentation tools is preferred
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
