Job Purpose And Overview

The Technical Sales Rep III at Dawn Food Products has the responsibility to support our bakery customers success by leveraging your baking experience and Dawn’s manufactured products to ensure customer satisfaction in the assigned accounts, developing and maintaining sales of the company’s product range and developing new business opportunities for Dawn Foods, while maintaining current business activities. The Technical Sales Rep II is responsible for supporting the development, growth, and profitability of accounts.

Work Environment & Travel: This is a hybrid role based in the Brampton, Ontario market, and involves daily local travel to visit customers. Approximately 75% of the time will be spent on the road, with up to 25% requiring overnight travel. To be considered, candidates must reside in or within the surrounding areas of Brampton, Ontario.

What will you do as a Technical Sales Rep II at Dawn Foods?

  • Demonstrate and troubleshoot Dawn products in the customer’s facility (bakery), and generally assist customers with the development and implementation of new products and ideas using Dawn products as the foundation.
  • Collaborate with customer service, Key Account Managers, Market Sales Reps, sales leadership, R&D, and operations to ensure adequate commercial product and service stream to meet sales and profit goals.
  • Manage the assigned customer relationships and report activities to the Business Development and Technical Sales Manager and the salesperson for the account.
  • Present new products to customers.
  • Achieve and exceed goals and objectives set with support from the Business Development Manager of Technical Sales & Service.
  • Prepare visit reports, weekly planners, sales reports, and project briefs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Up to 75% overnight travel; regular daily travel to customer sites is required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

What Does It Take to be a Technical Sales Rep II at Dawn Foods?

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.  

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required
  • A Culinary, or Pastry and Bakery Arts program certificate is preferred
  • A minimum of 7 years of baking experience, working with various channels of customers, including artisanal, manufacturers, supermarkets, or food service.
  • Strong understanding of baking processes and equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively to provide recommendations and suggestions.
  • Ability to build solid working relationships with both internal and external partners.
  • Strong knowledge of ingredient functionality
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft programs
  • Bilingual French is preferred

Compensation

$97,180 to $145,765 with bonus potential
