Responsibilities

• Develop architecture solutions for complex business and technical requirements in the enterprise banking domain.
• Provide detailed architectural blueprints and guidance to development teams ensuring alignment with non-functional requirements.
• Research, evaluate, and implement technology best practices to maintain competitive advantages.
• Lead client-facing engagements from a technology and integration perspective.
• Participate in requirements elicitation, discovery, and joint analysis and design (JAD) sessions.
• Design and implement end-to-end software and systems solutions, focusing on microservices and API integrations.
• Support and align technical strategies to customer goals as part of software delivery.
• Collaborate within cross-functional squads and offer consultative support as a subject matter expert.
  
  

Requirements

• Based in Toronto, Ontario, or within a commutable radius (must have resided in Canada for over 5 years).
• 7+ years of experience in technology design, including systems, applications, or architecture.
• Expertise in cloud architecture frameworks, working with Core Java, Spring Boot, Cassandra DB, and APIs (REST, SOAP).
• Hands-on experience with microservices and client-facing engagements.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SaaS product implementation and Kafka for streaming services.
• Familiarity with development tools like IDEs, unit testing tools, build tools, and version control systems.
