Job Title: Technical Architect Azure Fabric and Databricks

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure ecosystem—particularly Azure Fabric (Azure Service Fabric / Azure Integration Services) and Azure Databricks—to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, secure, and high-performance data and application architectures. This role will work closely with data engineers, Data scientists and business stakeholders to implement enterprise-grade solutions using modern cloud-native frameworks and data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture & Design :

• Design end-to-end cloud-native architectures using Azure Fabric services (Service Fabric, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management).
• Architect big data pipelines and advanced analytics solutions using Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, and Spark.
• Define integration patterns, data flows, microservices, and distributed computing frameworks.
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise architecture standards, security, and compliance requirements.

Implementation & Delivery

• Lead the technical delivery of projects, guiding development teams on best practices in Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Implement high-throughput, low-latency systems optimized for data ingestion, processing, and visualization.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to integrate ML models into Databricks workflows and pipelines.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Engage with business and technical stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Conduct technical reviews, PoCs, and design validation workshops.

Governance & Optimization

• Drive cost optimization, performance tuning, and monitoring of Azure and Databricks workloads.
• Define and implement governance models for data and platform usage across environments.
• Ensure observability and traceability across microservices and data flows.

Required Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

• 5+ years in IT with at least 3 years in cloud solution architecture.
• Strong experience in Azure ecosystem, including: Azure Fabric (Azure Service Fabric, App Services, Logic Apps, Azure Functions) and Azure Databricks, Spark (Scala/PySpark), Delta Lake, MLflow.
• Proficient in Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Event Hub, Key Vault, Blob Storage.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, ARM/Bicep/Terraform, and Azure DevOps.
• Good understanding of data security, RBAC, managed identities, and networking in Azure.

• Proven ability to mentor and guide engineering teams.

Preferred Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Kubernetes, AKS, or Azure Machine Learning.
• Exposure to data governance frameworks like NDMO, DAMA, or Microsoft Purview.
• Experience with public sector or large enterprise-scale data modernization projects.
