We are looking for a Technical Architect to lead the design of scalable, high-performance HR and payroll solutions for mid-sized employers. You’ll work closely with a senior technology architect and a cross-functional team to shape, document, and deliver robust systems in a hybrid setup (2 days/week onsite in Ghent).
Key Responsibilities
- Design and document end-to-end technical architectures
- Balance simplicity, robustness, and scalability in solution design
- Define technical standards, patterns, and frameworks
- Collaborate with analysts, developers, PMs, and architects
- Model architecture using ArchiMate and C4 frameworks
Your Background
- 6–10 years of experience in Java development and system design
- Advanced knowledge of Java (Spring Boot), REST APIs, SQL, microservices
- Proficiency with Azure PaaS: Event Hub, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, SQL Server
- Strong grasp of design patterns and scalable system architecture
- Experience in HR/payroll systems is a plus
- Fluent in Dutch or French and strong working knowledge of English
