Job Description

The Technical Advertising Operations Manager is responsible for the implementation and oversight of conversion tracking for Rebel’s digital advertising campaigns across all major search and social platforms as well as programmatic advertising.

What You’ll Do

  • In collaboration with Rebel’s Strategy Team and other members of its Advertising Search and Analytics (“Adsea”) Team, develop plans for conversion tracking based on client goals
  • Create events and goals and import them into UA and GA4
  • Implement Google Tag Manager and pixels across each platform in the client’s media plan.
  • Continually QA campaigns to ensure conversion tracking is effective and gathering appropriate data
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies between platforms, tracking tagging issues, creative QA, etc.
  • Ensure ad creative adheres to technical specifications, messaging, landing pages and structure is correct, testing of creative assets to ensure proper functionality across browsers/devices.
  • Remain up to date with updates to platforms’ guidelines for conversion tracking and continually communicate with vendor platforms to ensure the proper campaign tagging and trafficking
  • Identify opportunities to implement solutions that increase effectiveness and efficiencies and work collaboratively with departmental leads to develop solutions that will improve our operational efficiency, and ad serving/tracking processes
  • Continually refine our QA processes and tools to ensure the highest quality of campaign management across all channels.
  • Provide training to other members of Adsea and Development team relating to technical aspects of digital advertising
  • Assisting in account management and account set up
  • Additional projects and tasks supporting the Ad Operations function where required

About You

  • 3–5 years managing digital advertising tools including at least 2 years in Google Analytics and Campaign Manager
  • Extensive knowledge of Google Analytics (UA and GA4), Google Tag Manager, including implementing and tracking conversions with GTM, UA and GA4
  • Understanding of DoubleClick Manager/Campaign Manager
  • Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Campaign Manager certifications or willing to get these certifications within 30 days of hire
  • Strong understanding of Facebook Ads Manager and Facebook Pixel implementation as well as Conversion API
  • Deep understanding of programmatic buying and attribution
  • Proficiency with website development including HTML, CSS, Javascript and knowledge of page attributes and roadblocks to allow for meaningful tagging and tracking
  • Proficiency with troubleshooting tags
  • Experience with tag implementation (HTML5, VAST/VPAID, MRAID) as we continue to work with video and mobile-rich comms between ads and mobile apps
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Some familiarity with developing media plans and setting up campaigns in paid search, social and programmatic platforms
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize, organize and manage detailed work
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude
  • Results driven and client focused
  • Excited by fast-paced environments and the ability to make meaningful strategic contributions
  • Offline conversion tracking preferred
  • Familiarity with developing media plans and setting up campaigns in paid search, social and programmatic platforms preferred
  • Agency experience preferred
  • Familiarity with SEO is a plus
  • Semi-hybrid work schedule, requiring at least 4 days per week in the Cheshire office with one of those days being Wednesday
