Job Title: Senior Technical Accounting Advisory Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Accounting Advisory Manager to lead and deliver high-impact accounting solutions, navigating complex financial reporting and compliance challenges. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor, helping interpret and apply US GAAP, SEC regulations, and emerging standards with confidence and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage technical accounting engagements, including adoption of new accounting standards (e.g., ASC 842, ASC 606, ASC 326), carve-outs, IPO readiness, purchase accounting, stock compensation, mergers and acquisitions, VIE accounting, hedges, etc.
• Research and document complex accounting issues; prepare technical whitepapers and memos for internal and external stakeholders
• Support clients through financial statement preparation, audit readiness, and SEC reporting
• Serve as a subject matter expert for clients and internal teams on GAAP, IFRS, and SEC developments
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and a solutions-focused approach

Qualifications

• CPA required and BIG4 experience required (with National Office experience highly preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s preferred
• 7+ years of progressive experience in technical accounting, ideally with a mix of public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) and advisory/industry
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and financial reporting best practices
• Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines
• Excellent writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex accounting concepts clearly
