As a part of your team, you will :

• participate in the design, development, and maintenance of backend services using Java (versions 8, 17, and 21).
• work on cloud-based solutions using Azure Cloud services.
• assist in deploying and managing containerized applications with Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS).
• implement and manage service mesh using Istio.
• implement client for APIM integration.
• collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications.
• learn and apply best practices for microservice architecture and the Spring framework.
• monitor and optimize system performance to ensure reliability and scalability.
• troubleshoot and resolve backend issues with guidance from senior engineers.

We are looking for a passionate and talented young graduate to join our team as a Java Backend Engineer. In this role, you will be involved in the development and maintenance of backend services and APIs, working with cutting-edge technologies and methodologies. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced engineers and contribute to the success of our projects.

Our basic requirements

We welcome applicants who have either already graduated from a recognized university or are in the final year (seventh semester) of their degree course at the start of the Program in July 2025.

For many of our technical roles, we do ask that you have already obtained a Bachelor’s degree or are studying towards a Master’s degree or equivalent qualification. No professional experience is necessary, but a computer science or computer engineering-related educational background is required.

Your expertise

• recent graduate or in the last year of a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• basic knowledge of Java programming and a willingness to learn different versions (8, 17, and 21)
• interest in cloud computing and a desire to learn Azure Cloud services
• eagerness to understand containerization and orchestration tools, particularly AKS
• basic understanding of microservice architecture and best practices
• familiarity with the Spring framework and API management tools (Apigee, APIM) is a plus
• strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• good communication and teamwork skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• exposure to monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) is a plus.
• any relevant certifications or coursework in Java, Azure, or related technologies is a plus
