Team Leader / Assistant Manager – Project Controlling
About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated professional to join our growing RSC Project Controlling team as a
Team Leader / Assistant Manager – Project Controlling. This role is ideal for someone with a strong financial background, team leadership experience, and a mindset for continuous improvement and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Financial Project Coordinators, Financial Project Controllers, and Senior Financial Project Controllers, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Provide people leadership for a team of approx. 15-20+ FTEs, focusing on talent management, goal-setting, performance evaluation, and employee engagement.
- Oversee and ensure the smooth transition of new scopes, supporting organizational growth and operational excellence.
- Enable business advisory support by ensuring the team delivers accurate financial insights, variance analysis, and reporting that aids decision-making at leadership and project levels.
- Enhance commercial awareness within the team by guiding them on cost control, revenue recognition principles, and financial risk identification.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth, enhancing team capabilities in BI reporting, automation, and project controlling.
- Strengthen business process ownership, driving innovation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment with business objectives and priorities.
- Manage escalations effectively, ensuring timely resolution and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with global processes and drive successful change management initiatives within the team.
- Adhering to strategic direction set by senior management while establishing near-term goals.
- Align and comply with legal and group policy requirements Key Skills & Competencies:

- Proven experience in financial project controlling, reporting, and process optimization.
- Strong process-oriented mindset, with the ability to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.

- Experience in change management and continuous improvement methodologies

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in project controlling or financial controlling, with at least 1–2 years in a team lead or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of project financials, revenue recognition, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Prior experience in a shared service or global delivery environment is an advantage.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience with automation tools, power BI , other data visualization tools and a proactive approach to process optimization.
