Position: Software Engineering Team Lead – Backend (.NET/.NET Core)

About the Role

HumanIT is looking for an experienced Backend Engineering Team Lead to join one of our teams operating in a fast-paced, product-driven tech environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineering leader who thrives on both technical challenges and people development.

You'll be leading a multidisciplinary, autonomous Scrum team while also staying actively involved in the design and development of high-traffic, real-time backend systems. This is a 50/50 hybrid role: part engineering leadership, part individual contribution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of backend software engineers through 1:1s, code reviews, pair programming, and continuous feedback
• Maintain high-quality engineering standards and help shape career development paths for team members
• Collaborate closely with Product and Architecture teams to define technical strategy and drive delivery
• Take ownership of system architecture and actively contribute to hands-on coding, debugging, and performance optimization
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience leading backend engineering teams in an Agile environment
• Solid background in .NET/.NET Core development and building distributed systems
• Strong focus on code quality, performance, and scalability
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Product-oriented thinking: ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
• Comfortable working in hybrid teams and mentoring engineers across different levels
• English level: minimum B2
