Tasks

As Team Lead Applications, you won’t just manage software — you’ll empower people and help them grow:


  • Lead and mentor a team of Functional and Technical Application Managers, creating a positive, high-performing team culture.
  • Coordinate capacity planning and task delegation based on your team’s strengths and ambitions.
  • Collaborate closely with IT departments and business stakeholders to ensure application solutions are aligned with both functional needs and broader business goals.
  • Serve as primary liaison for external vendors, ensuring delivery aligns with quality and strategic standards.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of key IT applications, stepping in for escalations while letting your team shine.
  • Drive team growth through recruitment, coaching, and professional development planning.


Job requirements

You're not just an expert in applications — you're someone who thrives on helping others succeed:


  • Several years of experience as a Functional Application Specialist, Application Manager, or similar.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate skilled professionals — you know how to make teams better.
  • Skilled at translating large projects into clear, actionable tasks and delegating effectively.
  • Strong people-oriented mindset with a passion for guiding others in their career development.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and keeping pace with trends in IT and application landscapes.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and verbal.
  • You are a permanent EU citizen with a valid EU passport (due to project-specific security requirements).
  • Able to pass a security screening as part of the hiring process.


Conditions


  • At least 25 days of paid holidays with additional days available.
  • Compensation for commuting costs.
  • 30% tax ruling for the first five years (if applicable).
  • Language course compensation for up to €500
