JOB SUMMARY:
Instructor for Clemson LIFE post-secondary education program for young adults with intellectual disabilities.
JOB DUTIES:
60% - Essential - Instructions: Provides classroom instruction to Clemson LIFE students.
10% - Essential - Curriculum: Creates lesson plans and assists with developing Clemson LIFE curriculum.
10% - Essential - Collaboration: Collaborates with program staff to address student needs.
10% - Essential - Communication: Effectively communicates with students, parents of Clemson LIFE students, staff and
faculty.
10% - Essential - Community participation: Participates in fund raising, recruitment and community relations events.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Bachelor's Degree and experience in the field of transition services or with those with disabilities, specifically teaching those with disabilities.
Work Experience 1+ years
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Special Education teaching certification.
RESPONSIBILITIES
JOB KNOWLEDGE
Fundamental Job Knowledge - Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Expected Salary Range: $38,985.00 - $55,820.00
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Essential Level 2 employee
Required to maintain/resume essential support functions, deliver direct care services, and/or provide recovery support before normal operations resume. Some positions in this category may be required to work remotely or be on-call.
