Summary

Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components. Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence. TCAD (Technology Computer-Aided Design) Engineers play a crucial role in development of semiconductor technology and devices. They leverage numerical simulation software to model the process, predict device performance, optimize the manufacturing the process, and accelerate innovation. By leveraging these powerful computational methods, TCAD engineers bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and practical implementation, driving progress in the semiconductor industry by reducing costs, shortening time-to-market, enhance device performance and efficiently explore novel materials and architectures. As a TCAD Software, Simulation, and Application Engineer, you will drive innovation in semiconductor technology by developing advanced simulation tools and methodologies for process, device, and circuit optimization. You will play a pivotal role in building robust simulation flows and software infrastructure to support cutting-edge technology development


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and deploy comprehensive process, device, and circuit simulation flows.
  • Develop new software, applications, scripts.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (process integration, device design, product engineering) to define industry-leading TCAD methodologies for logic, power, RF, and analog technologies
  • Implement advanced techniques including Design of Experiments (DOE), optimization algorithms, artificial intelligence / machine learning (AI / ML), and statistical methods.
  • Build full-spectrum process-device-circuit co-optimization (DTCO) and simulation flows
  • Integrate modern AI/ML techniques with TCAD simulations flows.

Qualifications:

  • Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics. · Proficient in software development practices.
  • Experience with Linux-based environments for scientific computing. · Expert in object-oriented programming languages like C / C++, C#, or Java. Expert in scripting languages like Python, Julia, PERL, or TCL/TK. · Coursework on software, numerical methods, simulations, circuit design, and AI / ML, semiconductor physics, and device fabrication processes.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor technologies.


Desired Experience Level:

  • Preference for TCAD or software experience semiconductors for at least 5 years.
