Responsibilities:

TCAD (Technology Computer-Aided Design) Engineers play a crucial role in development of semiconductor technology and devices. They leverage numerical simulation software to model the process, predict device performance, optimize the manufacturing the process, and accelerate innovation. By leveraging these powerful computational methods, TCAD engineers bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and practical implementation, driving progress in the semiconductor industry by reducing costs, shortening time-to-market, enhance device performance and efficiently explore novel materials and architectures. Process simulations is the fundamental building block for TCAD and the technology. As a Process Simulation and Modeling TCAD engineer, you will be the leading expert on process simulation and modeling expert in the company. You will leverage your deep knowledge of material science, physics, numerical methods, software, and TCAD to lead and guide process development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and apply advanced process simulation models to analyze and optimize semiconductor process technologies.
  • Create and calibrate the simulation flows and models.
  • Collaborate with the stakeholders like process integration, device design, and product design to define experiments and present recommendations to develop and optimize the logic, power, RF, and analog technologies and devices.
  • Provide full-spectrum process-device-circuit simulation support. Perform design-technology co-optimization (DTCO).
  • Use simulations to debug issues, support customers, and identify root cause in the process and device issues.
  • Leverage modern AI / ML techniques to advance the TCAD process simulations. Partner with academic researchers. Invent innovative processes and devices.

Essential Attributes:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot and optimize designs. · Collaboration and Communication skills are essential to work in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project Management skills to lead projects and coordinate with other teams.
  • Continuous Learning approach and willingness to stay updated with the latest technologies, TCAD tools, and industry trend

Qualifications

  • PhD or Masters with research-oriented focus in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or Computer Science.
  • Knowledge of bipolar, CMOS, DMOS, and power technologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like C / C++, Java, Python, PERL, TCL/TK, MATLAB, or scripting.

Coursework on Semiconductor physics, Device fabrication processes, Numerical methods and simulations, Programming and software development, Circuit design and analysis, and AI / ML.

Desired Experience Level:

  • Strong preference for direct TCAD experience for at least 5-10 years
