Tax Manager – Public Accounting

Our client, a well-established and respected public accounting firm based in Markham, is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead complex compliance and advisory work. This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to take on a leadership role while staying hands-on with files and clients.

🔍 What You’ll Do

• Manage and review corporate, personal, and trust tax filings

• Lead tax planning and reorganization projects for owner-managed businesses

• Provide strategic tax advice on corporate structure, succession, and estate planning

• Conduct research and draft memos on complex tax matters

• Liaise with CRA and represent clients in audits, objections, and voluntary disclosures

• Supervise and mentor junior and intermediate tax staff

• Collaborate with partners on business development and client engagement

• Stay current on tax legislation and ensure technical excellence in all deliverables

✅ What We’re Looking For

• CPA designation and completion of the In-Depth Tax Course (or in progress)

• 5+ years of progressive experience in Canadian tax within public practice

• Strong technical knowledge of corporate and personal tax, estate planning, and reorganizations

• Excellent analytical, communication, and client advisory skills

• Experience managing staff and contributing to team growth

• Proficient in Caseware, TaxPrep, and other relevant software
