Position Overview
The Tax Manager will oversee the tax compliance and planning processes for the organization, ensuring adherence to all tax regulations while identifying opportunities for tax optimization. This role will involve managing a team and collaborating with various departments to align tax strategies with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Review tax provisions and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors.
- Supervise and train staff in tax-related matters and ensure their professional development.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization.
- Prepare and present tax-related reports and analysis to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management or related field.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
