Summary
Specific Responsibilities
The Tax Analyst II or Sr is responsible for analyzing and preparing tax returns and provisions. They will review financial records, manage filing requirements, and assist with tax planning strategies. The Tax Analyst II or Sr will also work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting. They should have a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
International Tax
* Prepare quarterly US GAAP tax provisions and adjustments in accordance with ASC 740 for financial reporting purposes.
* Prepare and/or review of federal, international, and local income tax returns.
* Manage local statutory tax provisions and tax returns prepared by outside consultants.
* Support tax planning initiatives, including process improvements and tax saving strategies.
* Assist in analyzing tax impacts of business transactions.
* Prepare annual U.S. transfer pricing documentation for intercompany transactions.
* Assist with Pillar Two processes (provision, compliance, planning, etc.).
* Prepare Excel workbooks for recurring and non-recurring transactions.
* Perform technical research and prepare tax memoranda.
* Monitor and manage intercompany loans and interest payment due dates.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
* 2+ years of professional tax experience
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
* Prefer working knowledge of SAP
* Prefer working knowledge of CORPTAX or ONESOURCE tax software
* Ability to interface with all departments and external service providers
* Excellent analytical, organizational, communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills
* Manage prioritization of multiple projects and communicate results to supervisor and team
* Strong attention to detail required
* Basic understanding of U.S. domestic or international tax or principles a plus
* Basic understanding of U.K. oil and gas taxation a plus
* Working knowledge of Alteryx a plus
* CPA or CPA exam eligible
