About the job:

• Design, implement, and maintain integrations between TAP and external systems (e.g., CI/CD tools, Git repositories, container registries, security scanners, observability platforms).
• Customize TAP supply chains using Cartographer and related components to align with organizational workflows.
• Develop and manage templates, plug-ins, and APIs to support application onboarding and platform extensibility.
• Ensure integrations are secure, reliable, and compliant with enterprise standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand platform requirements and continuously improve the developer experience.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and support platform users in adopting and leveraging TAP effectively.
• Maintain documentation and contribute to knowledge-sharing across teams.
• Stay up to date on Tanzu product updates, cloud-native trends, and best practices
• Experience with the VMware Tanzu ecosystem (TAP, TKG, TMC, etc.).
• Hands-on experience customizing or extending TAP supply chains.
• Knowledge of internal developer platforms (IDPs) and platform-as-a-product practices.
• Familiarity with service mesh, ingress controllers, and observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong scripting or development skills (e.g., YAML, Bash, Go, or Python).
• Familiarity with TAP components such as Cartographer, Supply Chains, kpack, and Developer Conventions.
• Experience integrating with GitOps tools (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux), CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Tekton, Jenkins), and developer portals.
• Understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and secure communication between services.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or integration development roles.
• Solid problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
