Tableau Administrator - Experience with Snowflake

Location: San Francisco (4 days per week and looking for local candidates)

Contract: 6-months initial

Rate: $70 - $85 per hour

We are seeking a skilled Tableau Administrator with experience in Snowflake to join our client in the financial sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing Tableau Server, optimizing data visualizations, and ensuring seamless integration with Snowflake to support data analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Tableau Server Management: Administer and maintain Tableau Server, including user management, permissions, and performance tuning.
• Data Integration: Collaborate with data engineers to integrate Tableau with Snowflake, ensuring efficient data flow and accessibility.
• Dashboard Development: Assist in the design and development of interactive dashboards and reports that meet business requirements.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability of Tableau services.
• User Support: Provide training and support to end-users, helping them leverage Tableau for effective data analysis.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Tableau processes, workflows, and best practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, data science, and IT, to align Tableau solutions with business goals.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Tableau Administrator, with a strong understanding of Snowflake.
• Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in the financial industry is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server, SQL knowledge, and familiarity with ETL processes.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address data-related challenges.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
