Government Client of TEKsystems - Systems/Cloud Architect

Description

We are seeking a Cloud Operations Expert with extensive experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure (however primary focus is on GCP and AWS). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in migrating and consolidating these cloud platforms. This role involves providing technical and architectural guidance on implementation, design and migration strategies for PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS solutions across GCP, AWS, and Azure platforms. Experience with VMware, Citrix NetScaler's, XenDesktop and XenApp would be considered assets.

Essential Skills

• Eight (8) years' experience as a Technical Systems Architect designing, implementing and documenting technical solutions as per client's Technical Environment and List of Applications.
• Eight (8) years' experience with managing, designing and implementing Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure.
• Three (3) years experience managing and architecting Citrix Netscaler, Citrix XenDesktop and Citrix XenApp.
  
  
  

Desired Skills

• Strong requirements gathering skills and proven track record of large-scale implementations similar to The City’s infrastructure.
• Previous work experience in the public sector or large organizations including work with Disaster Recovery.
• Expertise in Integrating Multiple Clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure) with MS Entra ID IDaaS with proven track record of large-scale implementations similar to The City’s infrastructure.
• Experience interfacing with stakeholders to determine business needs and generating high-level system requirements or designs.
• Expertise in designing robust solutions, including Disaster Recovery, High Availability, and multi-data centre availability.
• Knowledgeable of specific technologies/applications and their applicability to The City’s environment and requirements.
• Solid analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating information.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and external communication at all levels.
• Responsible for design considerations, staff impact analysis, and implementation timelines.
• Experience with business impact analysis, service costing (TCO), risk management, Quality of Service metrics, and ITIL Service Management.
• Strong knowledge of Enterprise implementations of Hybrid Cloud Computing services.
• Experience with support and sustainment models, integrations, security, data lifecycle management, system management tools, performance monitoring, and reporting.
• Ongoing educational training and work experience in specific or defined specializations as per the client's Technical Environment and List of Applications.
  
  
  

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $115.00 - $130.00/hr.
