Location: Troy, MI
Responsibilities:
Define, organize, and monitor production schedule, workflow, costs, technical specifications, tracking, and deadlines for robotic systems projects.
Understand and predict resource needs in accordance with deadlines and system project limits.
Identify project roadblocks and risks.
Organize production reports and files.
Support robot controls, programming, and simulation services.
Identify process improvements and define and coordinate solutions.
Represent the team at internal and external forums.
Mentor and coach engineers.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Systems, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering or a closely related field.
Will accept a single degree or any combination of degrees, diplomas, professional credentials, or professional experience determined to be equivalent by a qualified evaluation service.
4 years of experience in an automation and/or robotic engineering-related position(s):
Extrapolating, manipulating, analyzing, and disseminating data using SolidWorks, Roboguide, CAD/CAM, MATLAB, RobotStudio, and/or Python.
Troubleshooting automation and/or robotics issues, including design, programming, cycle time, and/or installation.
Performing automation and/or robotics process improvements.
Using computer, hardware, and/or embedded software development tools for AMRs, AGVs, industrial manufacturing robots, cobots, and/or hybrids.
Developing, testing, and/or calibrating automation systems, software, and/or service requirements.
Training engineers on FANUC, ABB, KUKA, and/or Nachi systems, programming, vision, EOAT, and grippers.
