About our client Our client is a main contractor in the Navy and shipbuilding industry and is currently hiring a Platform System Specialists for its Engineering Department. Posizione: Role and responsabilities He/She shall be able to follow-up, understand and coordinate the design of platform systems, at least in terms of architecture and overall sizing; and to produce Professional Quality deliverables based on the data provided by the Company's partners. The capability to coordinate technically major sub-contractors is necessary. It will consist in regular technical meetings, design reviews, follow-up of Action Items Registers. The objective is to ensure that the design made by partners will fulfil the needs of the Customers. He/She shall have polyvalent experience in the design and testing of Electrical/Automated or Mechanical/Auxiliary systems (respectively) for Naval vessels. This experience shall cover the understanding of technical specifications, description, schemes, standards and rules, standard solutions and standard materials. Besides, He/She shall have a good knowledge of Surface Ships architecture of systems and of the Class Rules (in particular the ones applicable to Naval ships) applicable to mechanical and electrical systems. He/She shall be able to perform System Engineering tasks and requirements management.
