Position: - Systems Integration and Design Architect
Location: Hybrid – Rosemead / Alhambra / Irvine, CA
6+ months Contract
Responsibilities:.
Work with Project PMO office and project managers to provide feedback and input of work breakdown structure or
project plan tasks, durations, predecessors, successors.
Work in conjunction with external suppliers to obtain the technical requirements and associated architecture to
formulate how solutions will incorporated into the data centers to satisfy design requirements.
Assess and provide feedback on project design artifacts like Architecture Vision Document, Solution Architecture
Documents, Business Requirements Documents, System Requirements Documents as required by assigned project.
Lead Project Team members to create various artifacts related to the physical design. These artifacts include
Environment Design Specification, Connection Matrix, Rack Elevation Request Form, GDC Intake Questionnaire,
Consolidated Build Sheets, and Test Plans and Scenarios.
Assess and make recommendations, based on industry best practices, on the physical and logistical layout of the
resources and equipment within the data center facility. Conform to existing design standards and contribute to
future updates as required.
Create, update, and modify GDC Rack elevation diagrams.
Perform peer design reviews, address technical matters or engineering matters or architectural questions, identify
risks or issues that may arise during the various project phases.
Identify and document project or infrastructure design risks or issues and appropriate mitigation plans.
Collaborate in project meetings, workshops, or forums for assigned projects. Report issues or actions as required.
Identify and document in the design any capacity augmentation needed to satisfy the requirements.
Participate in workshops to create test plans and use cases.
Generate the final draft of the Environmental Design Specification for TDRC review and approval, review the
Environmental Design Specification, during the build phase of the project, to identify any “As-Built” changes and
make the appropriate update as needed. (ex. diagrams, IP assignments, Connection Matrix, or other design
elements)
Develop, submit, and obtain approval for all artifacts delivered using the Delivery Acceptance Forms.
Required Skills:
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in systems design and integration for highly complex multi-tenant
solutions with the following services: cybersecurity, virtual and on-premise cloud computing, storage, space, power,
and cooling.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience with network technologies including LAN/WAN topologies, network HA
technologies.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience with capacity planning, and disaster recovery plans
Excellent oral and written communication skills – Experience leading discussions involving senior level technical
SME’s from Cybersecurity, Applications, and Infrastructure teams.
Data Center knowledge and experience, best practices
Preferred:
NERC/CIP Compliance
Micro architecture and container
DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
Knowledge and understanding of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
CISSP
