Summary

Job Title: Systems Engineer, II - Data Science Focus

Primary Location: Ft. Meade, MD

Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph

Schedule: Full-time, 5 days on-site

Travel: There is no anticipated travel for this position.

Basic Qualifications

An individual must meet the following criteria to be considered:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Pass a background investigation.
  • Possess a currently active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline.
  • Fourteen (14) Years of experience in programs and/or contracts of similar scope within the Federal Government; Five (5) years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree (for a total of 19 years)

Key Job Functions

  • Develop and manage system engineering artifacts, high-level system activity flows, and functional, performance, and interface requirements for customized/DIY analytics systems.
  • Translate conceptual designs into engineering constructs, supporting planning, development, integration, and testing, and ensuring the quality and documentation conformance of systems.
  • Create user acceptance test plans and maintain training documents to support system engineering efforts.
  • Analyzes user requirements.
  • Concept of operations documents and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
  • Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities.
  • Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches and conduct feasibility studies.
  • Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
  • Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
  • Work as part of a team with project managers and customers to fulfill requirements.
  • Develop technical documentation.
  • Develops system Architecture and system design documentation.
  • Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
  • Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
