What The Job Involves

• Act as SME for assigned clients or technologies, offering expert guidance and taking ownership of complex issues and escalations.
• Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Hyper-V, and Windows Server environments.
• Automate tasks and improve efficiency with PowerShell, while ensuring systems run smoothly through proactive health checks.
• Install, configure, and support IT infrastructure, providing training where needed and maintaining thorough documentation.
• Collaborate with account managers on IT roadmaps and drive IT maturity using Smile IT’s gold standards.
• Mentor team members, stay updated on emerging technologies, and uphold Smile IT’s values, policies, and standards.
• Deliver high-level customer support both remotely and on-site, with occasional travel to rural client locations.
  
  

What You Will Need To Succeed

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or similar client-facing roles.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Hyper-V, Windows Server, and Intune.
• Strong PowerShell skills for scripting and automation.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication abilities.
• A proactive mindset with a willingness to lead, mentor, and continuously learn.
• Willingness to travel locally and rurally as required.
