IT Systems Administrator - MTC Clipper Program
WSP is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our IT Service Desk team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT operations, particularly in ITIL-structured environments, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused setting.
This role requires experience with AWS cloud services, Azure Identity, Microsoft 365 (Outlook & Teams), Active Directory, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), information security policies, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Jira and Jira Service Management, and contact center systems administration.
You will play a key role in supporting and enhancing the infrastructure that powers the MTC Clipper Program, contributing to its efficiency, security, and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
* Administer and support IT systems for the MTC Clipper Program, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.
* Manage and optimize AWS and Azure cloud environments, including provisioning, monitoring, cost control, and security configurations.
* Implement, maintain, and enforce information security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance.
* Oversee Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) operations, including AWS Workspaces and thin client environments.
* Administer Active Directory, including user provisioning, authentication, group policy management, and directory services.
* Support and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365, ensuring system functionality and integration with internal tools.
* Utilize Jira and Jira Service Management for tracking incidents, service requests, and change management workflows.
* Collaborate with the contact center team to support daily operations and ensure system stability.
* Create and maintain documentation such as system configurations, SOPs, and internal knowledge base articles.
* Lead or coordinate complex issue resolution, working with internal teams and external vendors as needed.
* Provide training and support to end-users and IT team members on tools, processes, and best practices.
* Research emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve system performance and operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree)
* 5-7 years of experience in systems administration or a related IT role
* Cloud & Infrastructure
* Hands-on experience with AWS (e.g., EC2, Workspaces, IAM) for provisioning and resource management
* Familiarity with Azure Identity Services
* Experience managing Microsoft 365, including Outlook Online and Teams
* IT Operations
* Proficient in Active Directory and Group Policy administration
* Experience managing Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), including AWS Workspaces, Dell Thin Clients, and Wyse Management Suite
* Applications
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365
* Experience with Jira and Jira Service Management for ITSM tasks
* Security & Compliance
* Experience operating in ITIL-aligned environments
* Strong understanding of information security policies, access controls, and best practices
Other Skills
* Experience in a contact center environment is a plus
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot effectively under pressure
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative, team-focused approach
Preferred Skills
* Professional certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA (e.g., Network+, Security+), AWS (e.g., Certified SysOps Administrator), or Microsoft (e.g., MCSA, Azure Fundamentals)
* Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell or Python for automation and task orchestration
* Working knowledge of data and voice networking protocols, including TCP/IP, VoIP, and VLANs

Compensation
Expected Salary: $73,100 - $125,400
