EVS is seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator (Server OS/Data Center Expert) to join our team for a potential contract win. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and supporting server technologies, with a strong focus on Windows and Linux environments. This role requires a deep understanding of virtualization, information security, and data center infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Windows and Linux server environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Implement and manage Active Directory, Group Policy Management, and PKI solutions.
• Oversee VMWare Infrastructure and SAN/Blade and Rack Server infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with Information Security requirements, including IAVA/M and DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG).
• Implement and manage Host Based Security Systems (HBSS) to protect server environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT initiatives and projects.
  
  

This position is contingent upon the award of the contract. The anticipated start date and scope of work will be determined based on the outcome of the interview process and the details of the awarded contract.

A Systems Engineer—sometimes referred to as a lead systems analyst, a network engineer with programming skills, or a software engineer with network expertise—is an IT professional who leads the design, development, and deployment of integrated software, web, and hardware solutions. These often include complex, web-based systems that require seamless coordination across technologies.

The role involves managing the full development lifecycle, from gathering requirements and designing system architecture to coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. Systems engineers are tasked with integrating network operating systems, application software, and hardware components into a unified, functional solution.

Requirements

• Active Secret Security Clearance
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• DoD experience
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, business, or technical discipline.
• Minimum of eight years of experience in the Information Technology field.
• At least five years of experience in VMWare Infrastructure and SAN/Blade and Rack Server infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of information security requirements and compliance standards.
• Proven experience in managing Windows and/or Linux server technologies.
