Summary

ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Administrator to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Provide system administrator support to Surface Training Advanced Virtual Environment Network (STAVE-NET). STAVE-NET is a key part of the US Navy's STAVE program. It provides a networked infrastructure that allows for the distribution of training content and courseware to various locations, including ships, schoolhouses, and training facilities.
  • Provide system administrator support to Surface Training Advanced Virtual Environment Network (STAVE-NET) installations at various CONUS Navy training locations.
  • Provide system administrator operations and maintenance support to STAVE-NET users at various CONUS Navy training locations.
  • Provide system administrator support to STAVE-NET Research and Development to support integration of new systems.
  • Provide Tier 3 technical remote and onsite support and guidance to NCTE Range end-users, addressing IT-related issues and inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to system configurations and network connectivity for Range POR systems
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and best practices, with a focus on maintaining a secure IT environment
  • Strong understanding of Group Policy Management and Active Directory in Windows environments
  • Writing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT systems and processes.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues effectively
  • Up to 25% travel can be expected

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and 5+ years of relevant IT systems experience
  • Experience in system administration, with proficiency in both Linux and Windows environments
  • Must have CompTIA Security+ CE
  • Must have a VMware, Windows, or Linux Operating System (OS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Clearance Requirements

  • US Citizenship and active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
