Summary

Job Title: Systems Administrator

Location: Fremont, CA (Onsite at both Fremont and Livermore locations)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM

Type: 6+ Month Contract (Potential Temp-to-Perm)


About the Role:

We’re seeking a Systems Administrator to join client's team supporting operational technology and IT infrastructure within lab and cleanroom environments. This role requires flexibility to work onsite at both Fremont and Livermore locations.

The successful candidate will manage and maintain IT/OT systems, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient infrastructure operations to meet business and engineering requirements. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders and global teams to innovate and implement secure technology solutions supporting lab operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT services, providing 1st and 2nd level support in lab and office infrastructure.
  • Manage and support computing and network equipment, ensuring adherence to global IT standards and business requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a technology roadmap for lab environments.
  • Collaborate with global lab operation peers through regular sessions.
  • Oversee system performance, conduct troubleshooting, and implement necessary tuning adjustments.
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation and diagrams.
  • Manage hardware/software deployment following approved procedures and corporate standards.
  • Support engineering infrastructure services including security controls, network services, file storage, IoT, Azure Cloud, and applications.
  • Monitor security and system policies, reporting non-compliance as needed.
  • Participate in IT projects to test and implement new hardware/software supporting lab activity.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in enterprise IT support and systems administration.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with business units, IT teams, and vendors.
  • Experience in semiconductor, high-tech, or research industries preferred.
  • Prior experience working in cleanroom environments is a strong plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Operating Systems: 2-4+ years of hands-on experience with Windows Servers, Windows 10/7/XP, legacy NT devices, and Unix/Linux systems.
  • Network Administration: 5+ years of experience managing connectivity infrastructure and services, including troubleshooting end-user issues.
  • Security/Access Control: Familiarity with OT security infrastructure, PKI, firewalls, antivirus, and security frameworks.
  • General IT Knowledge: Solid understanding of networking, servers, storage, cloud services, IoT, robotics, RFID, VR/AR technologies, and peripheral devices like Zebra guns/printers.
