Job Summary

As a System/Performance Test Engineer at Appgate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the high performance, scalability, and reliability of Appgate SDP solutions. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing performance tests to validate the resilience and efficiency of our Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute detailed performance testing plans and strategies for Appgate SDP components, including Controllers, Gateways, and Connectors, to ensure they meet or exceed predefined performance benchmarks.
• Utilize various testing tools and methodologies to simulate real-world scenarios, measure system throughput, latency, and resource utilization, and identify bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand system architecture and design, and to provide feedback on performance issues and optimization opportunities.
• Analyze test results, generate performance reports, and work closely with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve identified issues.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and testing tools that can enhance the performance testing process
  
  

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in performance testing/engineering, preferably with a focus on cloud-based and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, and experience with network performance testing tools.
• Proficiency in performance testing tools and frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and understanding of cloud architecture.
• Knowledge of virtualization platforms and containerization technologies.
• Python programming skills.
• Familiarity with Appgate SDP or similar Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skill
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken
  
  

Interests/experience In Any Of The Following Areas

• Proficiency in Golang and/or C programming languages is a strong plus.
• Understanding of security best practices and secure coding techniques.
