Job Title: System Test Engineer

Location: Ann Arbor, MI Area (Hybrid)

Job Summary

This role is focused on the development and execution of comprehensive test plans for complex embedded software systems, particularly within the advanced technology sector. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in software testing methodologies, experience guiding small teams, and a solid understanding of communication protocols and interfaces commonly found in sophisticated embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts for embedded software.
• Guide and support small testing teams, ensuring streamlined and effective testing operations.
• Conduct both manual and automated testing procedures to pinpoint defects and uphold software quality standards.
• Examine test outcomes, record defects, and monitor issue resolution progress.
• Partner with development teams to grasp requirements and offer input on design and functionality.
• Drive continuous enhancements to testing methodologies and processes.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• Demonstrated experience in leading small software testing teams.
• Background in testing embedded software for advanced technological applications.
• Familiarity with communication protocols and interfaces used in sophisticated embedded systems (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, SERDES).
• Proficiency with test automation tools and scripting languages.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  
  

Compensation:

• Pay rate: $55 - $80 per hour.
