Currently we are looking for a skilled and experienced System Safety Engineer with a background in the defense/military sector to join my client.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with military-grade systems, a deep understanding of functional safety standards, and the ability to handle classified documentation in accordance with national and international security protocols.

-Take part in the definition and implementation of functional safety requirements, in compliance with standards like IEC 61508, MIL-STD-882, and ISO 26262 (as adapted to the defense domain).

Work closely with system, hardware, and software teams to ensure that safety requirements are correctly interpreted and implemented.

-Contribute to hazard analyses, risk assessments (HARA), and other safety studies throughout the system lifecycle.

-Help develop and maintain safety-related documentation such as safety plans, technical safety concepts, and verification reports.

-Support design reviews, audits, and safety assessments—both internal and external.

Collaborate on system architectures and propose technical safety solutions adapted to real-world operational conditions.

-Operate in a secure environment and manage documentation in accordance with applicable confidentiality and security procedures.
