In response to recent Federal Government announcements regarding the Defence Strategic Review (DSR), the AUKUS alliance, changes in Defence posture, and evolving global dynamics, there is an unprecedented demand for security-cleared, skilled resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex software systems to meet Defence requirements.
• Develop and manage system architectures and technical requirements across the project lifecycle.
• Conduct systems analysis, integration, verification, and validation activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and secure engineering solutions.
• Apply best practices in software development, systems engineering, and project delivery frameworks.
• Engage in complex problem-solving to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to align technical solutions with strategic goals.
• Provide technical advice and contribute to engineering governance and assurance activities.

Essential Experience

Software Engineers:

• Strong background in software engineering for large-scale or mission-critical systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages (Java, C++, Python or similar).
• Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and software architecture.
• Experience with agile methodologies, CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

System Engineers:

• Proven experience in systems engineering, including requirements, architecture, integration, and V&V.
• Proficiency with MBSE tools and modelling frameworks (e.g., DOORS, Cameo, SysML).
• Understanding of Defence engineering standards and full systems lifecycle.
• Expertise in systems integration, technical assurance, and risk management.
• Strong analytical thinking and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Background in EO systems, communications, C4ISR, or platform integration is highly desirable.
