We Teach Swimming (WETS) is a private swim school that offers learn to swim programs using achievable progressions. From water safety and core skills all the way through to developing endurance and strong strokes before entering our pre-swim club or synchronized swim program. We teach swimming from cradle to career including the Life Saving Skills and Instructor Program.
The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter with skills in communication, listening, collaboration, adaptability, empathy and patience.

Responsibilities:
Teach swim lessons to students of all ages and skills, while adhering to the curriculum and safety protocols
Effectively integrate the WETS Program Outline in an engaging and enthusiastic way to meet the needs of each student.
Evaluate students' progress and provide feedback on their performance, with the goal of promoting continued improvement and achievement.
Maintain a safe and clean pool environment and enforce safety rules and regulations during classes and activities.
Communicate with parents and guardians regarding students' progress, areas for improvement, and any concerns or issues that arise.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress, and submit reports and documentation as required.
Attend team meetings and training sessions as required, and actively participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Perform other duties as assigned by management, which may include administrative tasks, assisting with events or activities, or providing additional support to colleagues as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
WETS Instructor Certification, or current Y Instructor, Swim for Life, etc.
Bronze Cross Certification or higher.
Previous swim instructor experience is required.
Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards swimming, with a passion for helping students learn and achieve their goals.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively provide feedback in a constructive and supportive manner.
The ability to inspire confidence and motivate swimmers, while maintaining a safe and encouraging learning environment.
Perseverance and patience, with the ability to adapt to different learning styles and adjust instruction as needed.
An understanding of how to differentiate in a teaching session, and the ability to provide individualized instruction to students with varying abilities and needs.
Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and safety supervision.
Ability to work well with children of all ages, and to effectively communicate relationships with parents and guardians.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
