Summary

Are you a seasoned Software QA Engineer with a passion for ensuring the reliability and performance of control logic in cutting-edge energy storage systems? Do you thrive in hands-on testing environments and have expertise in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) methodologies?


Maven Workforce is partnering with a dynamic client to find a talented SW QA Engineer to join their growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in verifying and validating the control logics developed by their Control SW Engineers, contributing directly to the quality and robustness of their innovative solutions.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform rigorous testing of Control Logics developed using MATLAB/Simulink and C++.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test cases for HIL and SIL environments, gaining a deep understanding of the underlying control SW engineering principles.
  • Utilize MATLAB/Simulink to prepare and execute test cases for HIL/SIL environments.
  • Leverage Python, C/C++, and potentially Ruby/Javascript to automate test cases for HIL/SIL environments, increasing efficiency and test coverage.
  • Set up and configure HIL test benches utilizing tools such as dSPACE, NI, Vector, and OPAL-RT.
  • Develop and execute SIL test cases for control algorithms and embedded software in model-based development environments.
  • Gain a strong understanding of real-time simulation and hardware interfacing concepts.
  • Contribute to testing closed-loop control algorithms.
  • Apply your familiarity with power generation and/or grid-level control systems in your testing activities.
  • Utilize your experience with Power System Market Applications to ensure the software meets industry requirements.


Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5-7 years of proven experience testing applications developed in Ruby/Javascript.
  • 5-7 years of solid experience in programming languages such as Python and C/C++.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in HIL/SIL Testing and Model-Based Development.
  • Demonstrated experience in setting up and configuring HIL test benches (e.g., dSPACE, NI, Vector, OPAL-RT).
  • Strong understanding of real-time simulation and hardware interfacing.
  • Experience developing and executing SIL test cases for control algorithms and embedded software in model-based development environments.
  • Experience testing closed-loop control algorithms.
  • Familiarity with power generation and/or grid-level control systems.
  • Experience with Power System Market Applications.


Mandatory/Requires Skills:

  • Proven ability to verify control algorithms developed using MATLAB Simulink and C++.
  • Experience in the verification of UI which is developed using Ruby/Javascript.
  • Must have BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) domain exposure.
