Job Title: Surveyor I-Man/ Party Chief Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented entry-level Surveyor to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This position offers real-world experience by working closely with our project managers, surveyors, and technicians on various projects. Responsibilities * Work in the field with survey crews on topographic, boundary, and construction staking tasks. * Operate and maintain survey equipment while adhering to safety standards. * Document all phases of survey work through clear field notes and data collection. * Perform any other duties as assigned. Essential Skills * Physical ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions and terrains, including Phoenix summer heat. * Ability to repetitively stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat, and lift 50 lbs, which includes body weight, equipment, tools, and boxes. * Capability to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces. * Willingness to work overtime. * Problem-solving and good decision-making skills. * Excellent communication, detail orientation, interpersonal skills, and ability to be a team player. * Must have a good driving record and a valid driver's license. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Previous experience with surveying, math, AutoCAD, Trimble, or Microsoft Office products is a plus. * Experience with GPS, Total Station, and boundary survey software. * Knowledge in land survey, topography, construction, land development, and survey crew operations. * Familiarity with Alta surveys, construction stakeout, and development. Work Environment The work environment is based in our Phoenix office. The role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.
